The 120th Holsworthy and Stratton Show is fast approaching and preparations are well underway.
As always the stock, horses and ponies are the main feature of the show with their prize giving parades during the afternoon, but as well as that we have a full timetable of other activities and entertainment, not just in the Haines Watts Main ring and entertainment ring but also around the showground.
Everything from Falcons, Ferrets, Gun Dog Demonstrations, Gymnastics, and Vintage Vehicles. Metal Working, Sheep Shearing, Cattle Breed Talk and a Parelli Natural Horsemanship display.
There us a fun friendly free to enter Family Dog Show. Dogs are welcome on the showground but must be kept on a lead at all times. This year we will be hosting an exciting puissance in the afternoon, in the Haines Watts Main ring, a fantastic display of some of the best local riders and horses. To round off the day the bubble football will be back after its great success last year, a brilliant way to end the day with an ice cream and a lot of laughs!?
The Flower Tent is widely thought to be one of the best in the area and is always a sight to behold, we are holding free flower workshops but please book in at the flower tent by 10.30am to guarantee a place. The WI and YFC tents next door will be well worth a visit where you can not only view exhibits but talk to members about joining these organisations.?
The Holsworthy Area Children’s centre are joining us again to provide an area of calm to facilitate baby changing and feeding, and for this we are very grateful. With over 200 trade stands offering everything from farm machinery to handmade jewellery, there really is something for everyone so be sure to visit them they will be delighted to see you, without them and our sponsors it would be very difficult to hold a show

I hope you all have a wonderful day at the show!
